The use of these drugs puts the game in a bad place and it must be treated more seriously and more quickly than the current strikes policy.

Drug use is part of life and it must stop. Those who deal in drugs have deep involvement in the game and are escaping punishment and being named – why?

The dealers must be revealed or the user is out of the game. Too many aspects of sport have a grey cloud over them because of the underworld figures who have buddied up with many players.

Terms like “recreational drug use” and it being part of life must end. Addicted players can afford and can access rehabilitation. Families with addicts suffer the pain and torment and abuse and rehab is rarely available for the damaged family member if wanted.

Let’s not forget the carnage out of the West Coast Eagles a few years back .

I WRITE in reference to the latest drugs drama in AFL and sport in general.

What a great message to the community Collingwood is sending by not penalising players who tested positive to drugs.

Because it occurred during the off-season it is OK – go for your lives, just don't do it on our time. What a joke. Eddie McGuire, get real. What a pathetic and condescending excuse.

What a great ambassador you are. You should be ashamed of yourself and anyone else who goes along with your thinking regardless of the club.

If it's no big deal, the federal and state governments should pull out their support, cancel any drug rehab schemes and redirect the money elsewhere.

Whether anything will happen about this is yet to be seen, but with this type of drama dragging out at Essendon I don't see this lasting too long to avoid another legal quagmire.

It will be swept under the carpet with the AFL giving the impression that drugs are acceptable. There should be no getting out of this one.

I AM writing in regards to the recent closure of the Tallangatta Post Office.

Apart from the inconvenience of no postal service, this also impacts on those who used to do banking there. 

I thought we were trying to get people to live in these country towns.

This is hardly going to attract people to Tallangatta.

I urge member for Benambra Bill Tilley to please consider the needs of the residents of Tallangatta and outlying districts. 

There must be another solution to this problem. My carer is writing this for me. I have lived in Tallangatta, it is such a beautiful spot. 

WELL done V/Line. I travelled on V/Line to Melbourne last Thursday (March 24) and have nothing but praise for the staff under the pressure on a full train.

Both services were on time with all services working. This must be sad for the whingers’ party.
