Michael Milham, who co-produces the comic Super Ready Battle Armor, said about hundreds of people came through the Wangaratta Library to see what the convention had to offer.
The free event, which ran for three hours, attracted about 800 people and was organised as part of youth week.
“It was really great, the best part about small conventions is you can spend a lot of time with each person,” Mr Milham said.
“I was at the booth all day doing sketching, people would come up and buy the comic or ask questions.”
Yarrawonga's Lumia Comics had a stand alongside other comic retailers at the event.
Several computers were also set up and connected as a multi-player game.
Mr Milham said it was a positive environment to be part of.
“A lot of people who write or do artwork, hopefully we inspired them to do the same,” he said.
