Ballard spent 10 days with the Indian in Hyderabad before she left for practice in Stuttgart.
“Sania was peaking nicely,” Ballard said.
‘We have been working on movement along with core strength.
“I wanted to build in some explosive power.”
Mirza and Martina Hingis won the Wimbledon and US Open crowns last year before joining forces to take out the Australian Open in January.
They are hungry to complete a clean sweep at Roland-Garros in May.
Ballard worked with Tennis Federation Indonesia from 2009 to 2011 and spent time as Malaysian Athletics Federation’s technical director of coaching.
He is presently working as a sports consultant.
Ballard ran in the final of the 4x400-metre relay at the Seoul Olympics.
