Dale plays for VFL club Footscray but is free to line up for the Saints, who will be bolstered by the inclusions of Patrick Sullivan and co-coach Leigh Corcoran.
Corcoran said the Saints were pleased to welcome some experience into the side that lost to Albury by 215 points.
“Albury were just far too good,” he said.
“We’ve got a couple of good inclusions this week that will add some experience.”
Dale played two matches for Carlton in 2012 and returned to Victoria in the off-season after two seasons with SANFL club South Adelaide.
Hugh Wales, a teammate of Dale’s at Footscray, has dropped out of the Saints’ selected side with a foot injury.
The contest will be Lavington star Luke Garland’s 150th match for the Panthers.
