Rory Parnell, Chloe McGrath and Ella Brown are all vying for a place on the NSW state tennis team, with Parnell hoping to return to the side after being the youngest ever player to represent the state when he made the team in 2015.
Albury tennis coach Phil Shanahan said getting picked for the side would be an impressive achievement.
“Rory is the only player going this year who was on the state team last year, all of his teammates are in high school now,” he said.
“He gained a lot of experience from his time at the nationals last year, he's a year older and a year wiser now as well.
“Chloe and Ella are two of the leading players in the area as well.
“This will be their first experience at this level, but they've both worked extremely hard to get to where they are.”
The carnival starts in Tweed Heads on May 3.
