THE Albury-Wodonga Bandits will use three successive home games, starting on Saturday night against Nunawading, as a launching pad on the back of an arduous road double last weekend.

The Bandits split their two games last week, recording an impressive come-from-behind win against Hobart before going down to Bendigo.
Co-captain Jack Duck said it would be remiss of the side not to take some lessons from their 30-point drubbing at the hands of the Braves, but didn't want the loss to weigh them down either.
“Saturday was a pretty bad game for us, but at the end of the day all we can do is focus on the next week,” he said.
“On the flip-side, the win against Hobart was probably our best for the season, so there was plenty to take out of last weekend.
“But it'll be good to be playing at home after the double-header we had last week, we'll come into it feeling a little bit more fresh.”
Duck forecast an interesting duel against the Spectres, saying the Bandits arguably held an edge on the inside but would have to counter Nunawading's strong point guards.
“The game will be about shutting down to go-to players from the other team for each side,” he said.
“I think Greg (Mays) will be able to take advantage of a lack of height in the paint.
“Shane McDonald is one of the best point guards in the league, so Ben (Kearins) and I will have some work to do.
“Nunawading's core group have been together for a long time, they know each other's game extremely well.”
Import Greg Mays has been on fire in recent weeks, making the SEABL team of the week for his 30-point, 13-rebound effort against the Chargers last Friday.
Duck said the imposing American was only just starting to come into his own in the league.
“Greg has been getting better with every game he's played,” he said.
“He's still learning about the league and the opposition.
“Once he gets his head around it all I think he'll be a force to be reckoned with.”
Duck said sharing the captaincy with other import Donte Nicholas was proving to be a valuable learning experience.
“Donte is a smart guy, he's got a lot of experience,” he said.
“He speaks a lot but importantly he acts on it.
“He's a versatile player which is something we all want to learn.”
