North Albury a hotspot for overnight car break-ins

Updated May 1 2016 - 10:59am, first published 10:42am

NORTH Albury residents are urged not to leave values in their vehicles overnight. Albury police said they receive reports of about three cars a night being broken into in the suburb, often in the hours before dawn. “Phones, briefcases, bags, anything sitting there that may hold something of value they're just grabbing. They’ll smash the window for just two or three dollars in the centre console," Inspector Ian Youman, of Albury police, said on Sunday. People should contact police if they see suspicious activity.
