Dixon still has a chance for redemption in the consolation boys draw of the tournament and in the simultaneously running Jack Pizzey Cup which runs all week.

The cup pits teams from six states and one territory against each other with each side represented by eight boys and eight girls, with 112 in total competing.
NSW has won the last seven cups straight with Victoria coming runner-up six times and Queensland once.
The Blues boast the three top girls seeds in Linda Huang, 17, Lisa Mays, 15, and Gabby O’Gorman, 17, in the singles competition.
Tasmania has the number one boys seed Daniel Groom, 17, and Dixon’s Victorian teammate Jeremy Taylor, 16, is seeded second.
School Sport Australia tennis national secretary Graheme Waight said the cup had been going since 1963.
“It has a rich history of some of Australia’s better players playing in it, Sam Stosur, Pat Rafter … Casey Dellacqua,” he said.
