Shakespeare Live!, a performance to mark the 400th anniversary of the Bard’s death, will screen at Albury’s Regent Cinemas.
The Royal Shakespeare Company show took place on Shakespeare’s birthday, April 23, at his birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon.
Hosted by David Tennant, the production featured Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen, Dame Helen Mirren, Benedict Cumberbatch, John Lithgow and Joseph Fiennes among its cast.
Tim Minchin and Rufus Wainwright also appeared to help celebrate Shakespeare’s works and their contribution to music, dance, opera, musical theatre and comedy.
Regent Cinemas marketing manager Lucas Mellier said the film comprised “a kind of Shakespeare variety night”.
“There'll be plenty of music, plenty of laughs ... and Prince Charles comes out on stage to do his bit as well,” he said, referring to an unexpected cameo by royalty.
“It's basically everything that was performed on that night, captured as it was and then just replayed through the cinema.”
Mr Mellier said previous stage productions screened at Regent Cinemas had been well received.
“These ones are absolutely fantastic,” he said.
“They're filmed live on stage, but the sound quality and the on-screen quality that you get in the cinema really makes it as well.”
Shakespeare Live! screens at 2pm Saturday and Sunday, as well as a Gold Class session at 4pm Saturday.
