Dartmouth: Fenders, with scrubbies behind, seem to be the favoured technique at the minute, although lead line with yellow winged King Cobras are going well too. Still a few down around the 40 mark on downriggers as well.
Streams: are looking fantastic. Rumour has it that a 10 pounder was caught in the Kiewa a week or so ago. That’s a monster!
Mulwala: has been a bit tougher over the past week or two. Still a couple of big blokes being caught but generally numbers are down a bit compared to what they have been.
Murray River: up and down from the Hume has been pretty good. Above the lake there’s been some big fish angled and spun and that should continue. Below the lake, the water is dropping so just take the time to navigate if you don’t want to do any damage to your outfit. Fishing’s been great though.
Blowering: has produced some good cod again this week but they are hard work.
Burrinjuck: is probably a better option if you have the chance to get there. Some good yellas being angled on shrimp and some reasonable cod being trolled deep.
Snowy lakes: are fishing pretty well at the creek mouths but the spawning streams will be at the forefront of most fishos minds for the next month.
