The giant Irishman had an arthroscope after hurting his knee in the Tigers' Anzac Day win against North Albury.
He will miss Saturday's trip to the W.J. Findlay Oval but Albury co-coach Daniel Maher said O'hAilpin should return after the interleague bye.
"He just had a little clean-out after aggravating it against North Albury," he said.
"He probably could have kept playing but, with the bye coming up, we thought it was better to get it taken care of and then he only misses three games instead of four."
Albury is set to regain several key players in coming weeks with Simon Thomas, Mark Bush and Bryce Carroll missing Saturday’s win over Wodonga.
Small forward John Mitchell played his first match of the season in the reserves against the Bulldogs after missing the start of the season with horse riding commitments.
