LOCK YOUR CAR: Police say residents are making the job easy for criminals, who are stealing items from predominantly unlocked cars.
THIEVES have stolen items from more than one car each day in Wangaratta this month. Seven thefts from vehicles were reported in March, 11 in April and 34 so far in May. Unlocked cars with visible items inside including loose change, iPods, tools and computers have been the main target.

Police have been patrolling and distributing pamphlets in the affected areas around Murdoch Road, Hardisty Street, Valdoris Avenue, Wenhams and Puglisi lanes.
