Albury North Public School joined schools, preschools and libraries around the country in reading I Got This Hat at 11am.
Teacher-librarian Liz Dick said I Got This Hat, written by Jol and Kate Temple and illustrated by Jon Foye, had resonated especially with the littlies.
The book takes a peek at the world around us through the playful medium of hats.
“There was craft, dancing, re-telling of the story in different ways and miming,” Mrs Dick said.
“The program is designed to promote reading.”
Macy Elias, 5, said she enjoyed the book: “I liked the viking hat best!”
