He is playing a 36-hole qualifier for the US Open at Walton Heath in England overnight Monday.
Fraser took the same path to the June major last year.
The 37-year-old is expected to remain ahead of Australian Olympic team rivals Matt Jones and Scott Hend when updated world golf rankings are published on Tuesday.
Hend, who was ranked 85, was set to go past Fraser with a win at the BMW PGA Championship in England but after leading into the last round he fell away to finish tied for 15th.
Fraser was 68th in the world leading into the event at which he missed the cut.
Wodonga golfer Zach Murray has finished tied for 9th in the Scottish Stroke Play title won by his Commonwealth Golf Club team-mate Cameron John.
It was the first of four UK events for Murray, ending in June's British Amateur.
