Cooper left the field in the opening minutes of the clash at the Albury Sportsground and confirmed on Monday he had suffered serious damage.
“It doesn’t look too good,” Cooper said.
“It’s my AC.
“I’m going to Melbourne tomorrow to get it checked out and I’ll find out exactly what the damage is then.”
Cooper left the field with his arm cradled and was taken from the ground by ambulance for further treatment.
The Pigeon’s absence will be another blow for the injury-hit side with Xavier Leslie, Scott Oswald, Brandon Symes and Marcus McMillan missing the weekend’s 71-point defeat.
Symes came through his return match in the reserves unscathed and will provide the club with a big boost alongside his in-form brother, Damon.
