As if having your picture plastered all over the back of The Border Mail wasn’t bad enough, Beale’s friends have gone to town on the Billabong Crows footballer for providing the foundation to Nathan Rhodes’ spectacular mark at Coreen on Saturday.
Among dozens of memes on Facebook, he’s been a “Bealerina”, “Superman – man of Beale” and, our favourite, “Free Bealey”.
Ever the optimist, the Ray White Albury real estate agent says “there’s no such thing as bad publicity” and is happy to take the ribbing in his stride.
