The illegal dumping, damaged fences and vandalism have been increasing at the site in recent weeks.
Director of infrastructure services Alan Clarke said it also looked as though people had been scavenging through the property.
“Operating small transfer stations is an expensive undertaking and recently council made the tough decision to close four rural transfer stations,” he said.
“Eldorado is one of the transfer stations that will stay open, however things like this push up the operating costs, which are ultimately borne by the community through fees and charges.
“If this activity continues, we will need to review the continuing operation of Eldorado transfer station.”
