I will be asking both clubs to submit an incident report. Unsatisfactory behaviour will never be tolerated
- Group Nine operations manager Peter Ryan
The Greens led 24-6 at half-time before the wheels fell off in the mud during the final 40 minutes.
Temora’s victory saw it jump into the top-five at the expense of Young who drew 20-all with Southcity.
Albury Thunder remain in fourth spot after collecting two points for the bye.
Gundagai hammered Junee 30-0.
In Saturday’s match, Brothers’ 24-20 win over Kangaroos was marred by an ugly brawl.
Players from both teams jumped the fence at the northern hill end at McDonalds Park at Wagga to become involved in a melee sparked moments earlier by an incident on the field.
The hostile situation was inflamed by the involvement of lower grade players from the two clubs, but cool heads from senior officials eventually calmed the storm.
With the tension easing, the two teams left the ground, but the fallout has already started.
Group Nine operations manager Peter Ryan was quick to announce an investigation into the unsavoury finish to a sometimes spiteful game.
Ryan promised action would be taken against any players or spectators that were found to have contravened the rules.
“There is a strict code of conduct,” Ryan said.
“I will be asking both clubs to submit an incident report.
“Unsatisfactory behaviour will never be tolerated.”
Ryan stressed clubs were expected to ensure the safety and players and spectators at Group Nine venues.
Officials from Brothers and Kangaroos later condemned the incident which soured only the Brethren’s third win over their Wagga rivals in seven years.
Without a success over Roos since Anzac Day in 2014, Brothers came from 10-6 down at halftime to pull off a tense triumph.
Along the way, Kangaroos prop Trenten King was sinbinned for 10 minutes a late tackle, which fuelled the heat, and at least two others were penalised for illegal tackles.
Brothers made Kangaroos pay for brittle defence in a horror stretch in the second half.
After trailing 10-6 at halftime, Brothers levelled up when skipper Ben Black scored a slashing try in the 45th minute.
The game was blown apart when the Brethren scored three tries in 14 minutes to race ahead 24-10 by the 62nd minute.
Black put Ethan Mackenzie over in the 48th minute before Aaron Wynne embarrassed Roos with a soft try 11 minutes later.
By the time Cade Price zoomed 45 metres to score in the 62nd minute it seemed all over.
However, Roos struck back with tries to Jaden Kelly (66th minute) and Zac Graham (73rd) to set up a hectic finish.
