The Queenslander's triumph in the Queen's Cup has seen his world golf ranking rise to No.74, ahead of Fraser who slid from 76 to 80 after not playing at the weekend.
The pair is contending for the second spot on the Australian Olympic golf team behind major winner Jason Day.
Fraser returns to tournament play at the BMW International Open in Germany this week.
He will need to win or have a top-placed finish to overtake Hend who has won twice this year.
Since claiming a European Tour event in Malaysia in February, Fraser's ranking has largely been in the 60s, but he has missed the cut in his past two events.
After playing in Germany, Fraser is slated for the WGC-Bridgestone tournament in the US.
The Olympic team will be announced on July 11.
