Maksymow was cleared from Bacchus Marsh to the Demons for a one-off appearance late on Friday and kicked two goals.
But it wasn’t enough to stop Jindera who bolted out of the blocks with six goals to one in the opening quarter and were never troubled.
Bulldog coach Josh Walker said it was the team’s best performance for several weeks.
“It was always going to be a danger game with Lockhart coming off a couple of good wins,” Walker said.
“We started well and that was important in the conditions.
“It’s all about banking the four points at this time of the season so we were really happy to do that.”
Jindera’s Kris Holman was silky across half-back while his brother Nick continued his good form in the midfield.
Michael D'Arcy, Danny Warren and David Chan also played well.
Lockhart were best served by Andrew Emery, Jesse Margosis and Wylie Harrington.
Maksymow, who was picked up by Bulldog skipper Tom Weldon, kicked two goals in a matter of minutes during the third quarter when Lockhart made a run but the revival was short-lived as Jindera’s class prevailed in the final quarter.
Henty defeated rivals Culcairn by 18 points at Henty.
With the Lions missing Jye Shields with a collarbone injury, the home team made its charge in the second term with coach Josh Gaynor leading from the front.
Roy Jaques continued his solid form and youngsters Nick Murray and Dylan Hore chipped in at crucial stages.
Culcairn’s best were Dane Hallinan, Joel Merkel and Nathaniel Stroh.
Murray Magpies coach Josh Maher kicked eight goals in his team’s 95-point victory over Holbrook.
Ash Murray was also destructive with seven while Shannon Gilson and Rhys Smith also played dominant roles.
Holbrook had triers in Alec Sullivan, Josh Jones and Lachie Trethowan.
Brocklesby-Burrumbuttock charged home to defeat Rand-Walbundrie-Walla by 89 points at Brocklesby.
The Giants were competitive until three quarter-time before the flag favourites piled on eight goals to two to blow the match apart.
Kylin Morey kicked seven goals in his best performance of the season, while Josh McCudden did his Azzi medal prospects no harm with another strong showing.
Big Mick Hamilton played well for the visitors in the ruck and up forward with support coming from Ryan Lavery, Justin Gordon and Tom Simmons.
