Cupido, who played a cameo for the Spiders with Bacchus Marsh having the bye, was unstoppable early as the home team piled on the goals.
He managed only one more goal after the Crows moved Al Austin on to him after half-time.
“Cupido was probably the difference in the end,” Crows’ coach Danny Stevens said.
“He got away from us early and that lead was always going to be hard to peg back.”
Hamish Clark, Ben Baker, Max Barraclough and Jayden Natuilagilagi performed strongly for Howlong.
Crow Tom Conlan played his first match since injuring his leg early in the season and bagged five goals.
Michael O'Riordan also held his own in a head-to-head battle with Clark.
CDHBU accounted for Osborne by 16 points.
Damien Wilson was best-on-ground while Sam Gleeson was solid for the Cats.
