Players from throughout the Border and North-East are enrolled in the 14-week program with accredited coach Max Shepherd delighted with the response.
“It’s been going well,” Shepherd said.
“We have a large number of new cricketers this year which is what we’re all about.
“A lot of players want to develop their skills in preparation for the season ahead.”
The ages vary from 10 to 16.
The program has been running for five years with 45 players taking part in the first season.
Meanwhile, the academy will run a school holiday program at Major League Sports from July 4 to 6.
“We have increased it by a day this year,” Shepherd said.
Sessions run from 10am to 3pm.
