The council approved its budget which includes a 2.5 per cent rate rise, in line with the Victorian Government's cap, after backing the extra outlay.
It involves $20,000 for an entrance shelter and signage at the Albury Wodonga Mountain Bike Club's park, $10,000 to improve Wodonga Turf Club's bull ring and $10,000 for security measures at the new Men's Shed at Jamieson Court.
In adopting the budget, councillor Mike Fraser pointed to new property valuations contrasting with the rate rise.
"The increase in valuations has seen property values in our city go up overall by about three per cent over the two years, then offsetting that has been a 2.5 per cent rate increase," Cr Fraser said.
As a result, Cr Fraser said the council's rate in the dollar had decreased for property owners.
