Australian Electoral Commission data shows more than 21,000 voters have already made their choice as to who they want as the Indi MP for the next three years.
Campaign teams are rotating volunteers to hand out how-to-vote cards each day at the major pre-poll centres of Wodonga, Wangaratta and Benalla and some of the party faithful have taken annual leave to help out.
Volunteers are also being subjected to freezing winter conditions - pre-poll starts at 8.30am and finishes at 5.30pm each day.
The pre-poll turnout at this election hit 21,286 on Tuesday which is in sight of 24,539 people who voted early three years ago.
In 2013, Sophie Mirabella scored more first preference early votes than Cathy McGowan at the three major pre-poll centres - Wodonga, Wangaratta and Benalla - before being overtaken by the independent in a marathon count.
The AEC has confirmed pre-poll votes will be counted on election night and will again be a major pointer to the final outcome in Indi with Ms McGowan holding the seat by a margin 0.3 per cent.
The most popular centre for Indi pre-poll voting is Wangaratta - 8204 votes have been registered since the commencement of early voting on June 14.
The Wangaratta figure is already up on the 2013 turnout of 7172 early voters.
But Wodonga is equally busy with 6345 votes cast since opening on June 20.
A staggering 1260 votes were recorded on Tuesday.
Benalla has had 3093 voters through the doors with 1647, 568 and 254 at Mansfield, Mount Beauty and Bright respectively.
Indi voters have also been able to exercise their democratic right in Albury with 1175 votes recorded.
In comparison, 6208 Farrer voters have pre-polled in Albury and in the neighbouring Victorian electorate of Murray 6023 voters have pre-polled in its biggest population centre, Shepparton.
Another 2253 people have voted early in Yarrawonga with the Murray contest also involving two Coalition candidates, Liberal Duncan McGauchie and National Damian Drum.
The Victorian school holidays and marathon campaign are being raised as factors in the strong early voter turnout.
The total number of Indi voters in 2016 is 103,784.
