The initial offering of 50 places in the clinic had to be bumped up to 70 by the A-League club after the clinic received a whopping response.
Wangaratta City registrar Lisa Campagna said the clinic would be a wonderful opportunity for the city’s young players to meet some of the nation’s best players.
“They’ll be running a lot of different drills,” she said.
“It’s all about getting an insight into what it’s like to play for Melbourne City.
“It’s great for the the country players, it’s a real coup for our club.
“They were pretty generous in allowing us the extra 20 spots after the first 50 sold out so quickly.
“They do a pretty good job of getting out to areas like ours, and we’re trying to build up a good relationship with them.”
