Aimed at professional and semi-professional artists, the competition encompasses hanging art work: paintings, works on paper, photography and sculpture.
All paintings must be framed, and the winning artist will take home $600.
St Augustine’s parent Claire Killeen called on Border artists to come forward.
“We’re putting the call out for artists, those who have a real passion for their medium, to submit their works,” she said.
Helen Pynta, last year’s best painting winner, praised the community feel of the competition.
“I got involved because it promoted local artists’ work in the area and it was an opportunity demonstrate their work,” she said.
The exhibition at St Augustine’s performing arts centre will open between August 19-21. The public is welcomed to submit works and attend. Email staugartshow@gmail.com before July 18.
