The Saints star had been kept out of the side since April due to stress fractures in his foot, but said he would take his place in squad ahead Saturday’s clash with Albury.
“I’ll need to get signed off by the physios but I’m all good to go,” he said.
After joking about making his return against the Tigers, Wales said he was excited to see how the Saints would respond against the ladder leaders.
Myrtleford were on the wrong end of a 215-point hiding when they last met.
“I wouldn’t have minded a slightly easier game to come back for,” he said.
“But the boys have been in good form, we’ll go into this one feeling good about it.
“I've been down in Melbourne so I'm not sure how much talk there's been about the last time we played Albury.
“I'm sure that the loss as been burning away in the back of their heads though.
“Hopefully we can snag an upset over them like we were able to a few years ago.
“As I said, we've been in good form, so I think we can go into it with a little bit more confidence than we otherwise might've.
The Saints have won four in-a-row since their last loss, a 22-point defeat at the hands of the Wodonga Raiders.
Wales said reconnecting with a number of former junior teammates such as Frazer Dale and playing alongside his brothers Elijah and Wayland had contributed to the club's turnaround.
“It's pretty exciting that we've got a chance to play finals,” he said.
“We all grew up together and played under-14s and under-16s together, and to come back and see the club blooding some of the younger guys as well is really encouraging.”
The Saints are placed fourth on the ladder, a game clear of the Raiders and two clear of North Albury.
