“I don't barrack for Collingwood,” came the solemn answer.
Luckily the Magpie champion accepted all fans at North Albury’s Bunton Park on Tuesday evening and proved happy to sign jumpers, caps, boots and drink bottles as well as pose for numerous photographs.
“If I said five bucks a photo, what would you say?” Daicos joked.
“I’d pay it,” a dad replied without hesitation.
Daicos took part in the Good for Footy event, which included inflatables, drills and a barbecue.
North Albury Junior Football Club president Peter Penny estimated more than 100 children attended the night.
“We had 250 sausages, they’re all gone, but the next lot are coming,” Penny said.
Daicos said he always appreciated the welcome he received at country clubs.
“I am humbled, I love it,” he said.
“When you come out here you probably realise just the love people have of footy.”
