To match their new network, the font and colours used in reports were altered to mirror those of Ten Eyewitness News.
Otherwise there was little to differentiate the old from the new as WIN News took on Prime7 News in the 6pm time slot.
Both bulletins began with the same story, a drug bust at a Wodonga motel.
Prime then put rain damage at Wodonga properties ahead of election coverage, with the stories flipped at WIN.
Before the first advertising break, WIN News had gone to a story about ambulances from Tumut and a generic July 1 price rise piece.
Prime's opening non-Albury story followed its first segment with an item about Wagga's Charles Sturt University working on pasta.
While the battle will resume on Monday, Prime is broadcasting a regionally-focused election special at 6pm Sunday.
