THE exclusion of Broken Hill from Farrer has ensured Liberal Party incumbent Sussan Ley has won all booths in her electorate for the first time in 12 years.

The Silver City's devotion to the Labor Party meant that since the 2007 election, when Broken Hill was added to Farrer, Ms Ley had fallen short of a clean sweep.
Ms Ley was rapt with her support in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area, which has been added to Farrer under a redistribution.
"I'm very pleased and particularly pleased that the new areas of Farrer have voted resoundingly for the Liberal and National parties," Ms Ley said.
"I've spent a lot of time in Griffith, Leeton, Narrandera, Hillston and the Riverina because I don't take any votes for granted and I very much wanted to get to know those communities."
Trainee doctor Christian Kunde, who quit as Labor candidate after being linked to an extreme Islamic group by Sydney newspaper The Daily Telegraph, still had his name on ballots and drew 18.12 per cent of votes.
It was Labor's worst primary percentage after having competed at every election in Farrer since its formation in 1949 and it won't collect an estimated $38,403 in electoral commission funding.
Nevertheless, Mr Kunde was surprised the Labor vote only fell by 2 per cent.
"Not campaigning for the last two weeks, which is the business end of it and not running of course I expected there would be more than that," Mr Kunde said.
Labor only manned three Albury booths, two at Lavington and Glenroy, and sites at Griffith and Deniliquin while Ms Ley had a presence at all Farrer booths on Saturday.
Greens candidate Amanda Cohn outpolled Mr Kunde at Albury Public School, Albury High School and Albury West Public School.
She was thrilled at nailing a record percentage of 8.4 per cent and noted the 4 per cent swing to the Greens outdid the swing against Labor.
"We're really proud of that result, it's more than double the last result we had in this area," Dr Cohn said.
If she serves her full term, Ms Ley will surpass her predecessor Tim Fischer and be the second-longest serving member for Farrer behind David Fairbairn (1949-75).
"I don't think about records, I just think about the energy I have every morning to get up to represent this constituency and be part of a team in Canberra that makes a difference to Australia's future," Ms Ley said.
