The mustachioed former fast bowler is bringing his love for the game to the Border this week as part of Cricket Victoria's Diamonds in the Bush program.
Hughes, along with Victorian Bushrangers assistant coach David Hussey and players Marcus Harris, Jackson Coleman and Sarah Elliot, will host a two-day clinic this Thursday and Friday.
North East regional cricket manager Rhys Miller said it was all about kick-starting the cricket season.
“This program is really targeted towards launching each player's pre-season,” he said.
“It's fairly heavily skills based program, but it also covers things like fitness and nutrition.
“Players who are after a spot in one of the Vic Country sides get a chance to work with the coaches of those teams.
“It's great to learn from international level players.”
