Formed in 1923, the group stages one play a year and decided upon a drama from American playwright Tim Kelly.
Society president Matt Hansen said The Masked Canary was full of saucy twists.
“It’s an old-fashioned melodrama, set in Tombstone, Arizona,” he said.
“It’s about a society lady who has a secret life as a burlesque singer.
“But an evil judge finds out about her secret and threatens to blackmail her unless she marries him.
“It’s all about the farce that goes on from that.”
Tickets can be purchased at Berrigan’s Peppertree Variety Store.
