With a crucial game against Myrtleford coming this Saturday, United co-coach Dave Smith says his side needs to get back to its best.
“We just need to find some consistency,” he said.
“We had some fantastic results mixed with some ordinary results against good opposition, teams that have raised their game to play us.
“Last weekend (against Albury City) was a good win, every Jelbart Derby is a close affair that we're happy to get the points in.”
Against the potent Myrtleford forward line, which includes Matt Park and Nagus Henry, Smith said he would back United's defence to hold firm.
“We've got a good defensive record, we're pretty solid,” he said.
“We'll look at the Myrtleford strikers, as well as their midfield and see how we can shut them down.”
