July 18, 1986: Imagine breaking this story. A tornado was broadcast live on Minnesotan television station KARE after the station's helicopter pilot encountered it by chance. Pilot Max Messmer and photojournalist Tom Empey were flying out to cover a news story when they noticed a funnel cloud forming. It was the first aerial video of a tornado. Afterwards, meteorologists studied the footage to learn more about tornadoes. Watch some of the dramatic vision unfold here:

A cheat day can often be spoken about in popular culture as slang for ‘treating yourself’ to something normally too expensive or unhealthy to maintain on a regular basis.
For Quorn local Demi Finlay, a cheat day is one of many small goals she sets to motivate her to success in the unforgiving world of body sculpting.
It’s a lifestyle of self sacrifice and utter dedication, which first became part of Finlay’s routine thanks to her biggest advocates – her parents.
Finlay’s mother was a particular early influence, dragging a 10-year-old Demi with her to the gym.
Time spent there growing up meant Finlay inevitably joined in circuits at 12, progressed to marathons in her teens before hitting the weights at 16.
Body sculpting’s growing exposure on social media caught Finlay’s attention soon after, and presented her with a new challenge. Read more.
