The former Carlton player has been working with Footscray’s physios and hopes to return against Wodonga Raiders in round 17.
He will miss crunch clashes against Yarrawonga and Wangaratta with the Saints needing to win at least two of their final four matches to secure a top-five finish.
The Saints have also lost Brady Sharp, who requires a knee reconstruction.
