With the scoreline locked at 2-2 against Sydney United 58 in extra time, Choi picked up the ball midway in his own half,before belting a shot a full 70m, taking United keeper Thomas Manos by surprise.

It was the first time Blacktown had led in the tie, with the side having gone two goals down in the opening quarter after strikes from Chris Payne and Robert Mileski.

Thanks to a hat-trick from Patrick Anelmi and goals from Joey Gibbs and Mitch Mallia, the men in black stormed to a 6-2 win after an astonishing period of extra-time.

The feat was made even more incredible by the fact that the team were down to 10 men during the added time, with Riku Sasaki sent off for a second yellow card offence.

"Danny's something special, he does things that others can't," City boss Mark Crittenden told Fox Sports after the match.

"His first 20 minutes was horrible but he's just a special player.

"When we were back to 2-1 at half-time we believed we could go on and win the game. We're extremely fit and the talent in the side is second to none."

"They [Sydney United] are a really good football team and to put six past them in the end [is fantastic]" he added.

United and City occupy the top two spots in the NSW NPL league, with Wednesday night's losers seven points clear at the top of the ladder.
