The Magpies missed finals by percentage last season but can secure a double chance if they win their final three games and Byrne is keen to keep the pedal to the metal.
The Magpies are sitting fourth on the table but can move ahead of North Albury, which faces undefeated Yarrawonga next weekend.
And if the Magpies needed any extra motivation, Saturday will mark reliable defender Katie Dean’s 100th A grade match for the club.
“The next three weeks are crucial for us,” Byrne said.
“We really want to turn around what happened last year and be accountable.
“Our strength this year has probably been in our defence end and Katie has been a great asset down there.”
In other matches, Lavington will be too strong for Corowa-Rutherglen and Wodonga should down Albury.
