Nicholas faces a selection dilemma with up to six players to return to the line-up from their final home and away match against Tumbarumba.
“It’s hard to say how Saturday will go,” Nicholas said.
“Last time we beat them by 100 points but they had up to eight players out.
“We will be at full strength and I have to find spots for James Barlee, James Paton, Nathan Grimes and Steve Pulla and maybe one or two others.
“I’m sure Federal will be tough to beat though.”
Both sides will fancy their chances of kicking a big score with Darren and Matt Bradshaw and Brent Ohlin in form for Federal and Grimes, David Low and Matt Dekoeyer prolific for Corryong.
Cudgewa play Bullioh in the reserves, Tumbarumba do battle with Federal in the under-16s and Corryong meet Federal in the under-13s.
The league’s best and fairest will be held on Sunday.
