Emily Pettingill's training facility might do the same – plenty of green, but with one key difference.
The total absence of water.
Pettingill is set to represent New South Wales at the School Sports Australia diving championships, a remarkable feat for someone who can only dive into water for a few months a year.
The 16-year-old has to settle for the foam pit and trampolines at Flip-Out in Lavington, but she says they’ve made a world of difference.
“It's very hard to find places to train, we just don't have the facilities here,” she said.
“But trampolining has been really helpful, that and the dry board at my coach's house.”
Simply getting into the pool during the winter months is a rare luxury that requires a five-hour trek to Sydney.
“At the start it took me a long time to get back into it, but by the afternoon I was hitting my dives over and over again.,” she said.
