About 30 students aged from 6 to 11 from the Regional Academy of Performing Arts (RAPA) had tuition from the Imperial Russian Ballet Company principal dancers and teachers Radamaria and Arcadie Nazarenco in Wodonga on Friday.
The academy’s co-director, Jennifer Podesta, said it was the second time the dance academy had teamed with the company.
“Four years ago we collaborated with them on The Nutcracker and those children have lovely memories,” she said.
“It’s lovely for the students to work with professional dancers and very inspiring for those who want to have a career in dance.”
The Nutcracker will be performed at the Albury Entertainment Centre on October 18 at 7.30pm.
The RAPA students will attend a master class on the afternoon of the performance and dine with the cast.
