The home was raided by police on Wednesday morning, after two men were kidnapped and detained there a week earlier.
The victims were allegedly threatened and shot after accusations of stolen cash escalated. Police have since arrested a trio - consisting of a gunman, his mother and another man.
A resident said he had heard a man was shot on Urana Road earlier in the week.
He said he had spotted police down the road on Wednesday, but didn't pay attention.
“It's usually a pretty quiet street, you wouldn't expect someone around here to be shot in the bloody foot,” the resident said.
“You never know what can happen when there's money involved, it changes people.
“Just as long as they don't start shooting at the other neighbours, I'm not too worried.”
Another neighbour yelled “oh my God” when she first heard of the news.
“I think it's pretty frightening,” she said.
“We will definitely be locking up from now on.
“This is a really good neighbourhood, it's not something you would expect to hear.”
Another neighbour said she was “horrified” to learn a shooting had happened in her street.
Albury Detective Chief Inspector David Cottee said he wanted to thank members of the public for their assistance.
“It's this community that helps solve crime,” he said.
“When we say to contact police or Crime Stoppers, it’s not an idle request.
“When people do come forward with information, it’s very helpful.”
