Entry donations and the proceeds from a raffle at the fourth Indigo Quilt Exhibition will be given to Alzheimer’s Australia.
Organiser Shelley Kelly said a wide range of quilts had been on display at the weekend event.
“They’re all made in the local area,” she said.
“It’s a great display of all the quilts, some of which have taken up to three years to make.
“There really are some beautiful works.”
The key to a good quilt, Ms Kelly said, comes down to the design and use of colours.
The event featured 25 large quilts and gave enthusiasts a chance to share hints and tips on the hobby.
“It’s mainly women who take part,” Ms Kelly said.
“It’s a great social activity.
“They’re all made by hand and we all do a lot of learning together during the event.”
The exhibition was held at the Barnawartha Joy Bus Cafe from Friday to Sunday.
Ms Kelly was pleased with the turnout.
