Two glorious sunny days, more like spring than winter, greeted fans at football, netball and soccer finals.
Saturday signalled the end of the 2016 run for Albury Thunder, knocked out of the rugby league finals.
Albury’s high temperature of 16.4 degrees came about 4pm, as senior games were building in intensity.
Coffee and chicken schnitzel rolls were popular choices from the canteen at Glen Park during soccer finals on Sunday.
Boomers president Raymond Bertazzo said finals were also financially important for the club.
He said an increase in income from sales at the bar and canteen would help support development of junior players in the coming seasons.
“It’s been a crazy day,” Mr Bertazzo said.
“We’ve had two out of town team here, in Cobram and Wangaratta, and they’ve all come with their supporters.”
