The Albury Wodonga Football Association president also likes to pound the pavement and has completed 40 parkruns on the Border.
Each Saturday morning, runners or walkers trek from Albury pool along the Murray River to the Lincoln Causeway and return.
“There’s no airs and graces, there’s no competition, it’s basically you against the clock,” Mr Randall said.
This Saturday the Albury event will be part of Medibank Private’s Personal Better Day aimed at boosting exercise.
Australia-wide it is hoped 25,000 will participate in one of 180 events to set a new one-day record.
Albury Medibank Private senior customer service officer Claudia Rowland, who did her first parkrun last Saturday, said her employer was sponsoring the Albury event for the next three years.
The Border’s parkrun begins at 8am.
The first event in 2014 drew 88 entrants and it now averages 160.
