Coached by Sam Gosbell, the under-16s were forced to work every inch of the way before defeating rivals Albury High 12.11 (83) to 10.7 (67).
Tom O’Brien, Rohan Gates, Cooper Boyle, Adam Martin and Fraser Duryea played well for the victors.
Albury’s best were Jackson Carmody and Ben Kelly.
In the under 14s, Xavier marched to an 18.9 (117) to 1.2 (8) win over Victory Lutheran College.
It was an impressive performance by Victory to make the decider in their first year.
