Weather leads to warnings
WEEKEND rain saw Billabong Creek exceed seven metres, leading to a moderate flood warning on Sunday downstream of Culcairn. Landholders next to the creek, particularly near Walbundrie and Rand, were advised to move stock and pumps from low lying areas. The Murray River at Corowa received a minor flood warning from the Bureau of Meteorology, with the river height predicted to reach 5.3 metres on Wednesday. At Albury, the river was expected to remain below minor flood levels.
