Daniel Cross, Dean Polo, Brayden O’Hara and Joel Mackie are all worthy of close attention but Saker said the Panthers would place a focus on “team defence”.
Jake Way performed an excellent shut-down role on Mackie in the second semi-final as Cross and Polo ran amok in the midfield.
“Odds are Jake will go with Joel again,” Saker said.
“It’s important we get the balance right but we don’t want to interrupt our team defence too much to worry about one-on-one match-ups. It’s going to be really critical from our coaching box that the role these guys are playing doesn’t impact our team defence.”
