Koschitzke last played for Brocklesby in 2004 with the Roos and Swans merging two years later.
“There was a little bit of an adjustment at first walking into the Brock rooms and you are no longer the Roos,” Koschitzke said.
“It was funny as the last game I played for Brock was against Burrum at Burrum in 2004.
“I went to Noosa in 2005 and the clubs merged in 2006.
“It’s fantastic being back this year.
“I have loved it.”
After spending time in Queensland, Melbourne and overseas, the 31-year-old moved back to the Border in 2013 and spent two seasons in Lavington’s reserves.
He hasn’t looked back since returning to the Hume league with the big defender holding down centre half-back for the reigning premier.
“There has been lot of good things about coming back like still seeing the familiar faces who love having a beer at Brock and Burrum after training on Thursday nights,” he said.
“That’s been a thrill as well as playing with family members and guys like Schilgy (Luke) who I grew up with and played junior footy with.
“It all means a lot.”
