Ovens and Murray general manager Sean Barrett said Panthers president Peter Barwick had contacted Tigers counterpart Stuart Hodgson and the league to apologise for the banner, which said: “Do your best and show them who’s boss, Lavington Panthers can beat Albury Joss”.
“The Joss Group are not just a big supporter of Albury, they support a number of clubs in the league and they also help out the league as well,” he said.
“They were apologetic, to both the league and the Tigers, for any offence that may have been taken by the banner.”
