But in a huge boost for the reigning premier, co-coaches Jarrod Hillary and Luke Brauer plan to remain at the club as players.
“We will be sticking around,” Brauer said.
“Jarrod definitely won’t be coaching and it’s unlikely I will either unless it’s required by the club.
“The club is in really good shape with most of the side playing on.
“We have some great kids coming through.”
Brauer has been in charge for the past three seasons while Hillary had one year at the helm.
It is believed the Hume league heavyweight is talking to a well-credentialed player from the Ovens and Murray.
Brauer co-coached with Saints’ favourite son Luke Schilg for two seasons before Hillary joined him in the top position this year.
Brauer finished fourth in this year’s Azzi medal while Hillary kicked 49 goals.
“Luke and Jarrod have been fantastic and it’s great they will be sticking around as players for another season,” club president Steve Koschitzke said.
“They have a lot of respect at the club.
“You can’t replace that experience.”
Koschitzke said Brock-Burrum had started looking for a new coach and was confident of retaining the nucleus of this year’s side.
Ruckman DJ Oates took out Brock-Burrum’s best and fairest at the weekend with midfielders Josh McCudden and Nico Sedgwick grabbing minor placings.
Kylin Morey and Liam Johnson rounded out the top-five.
Morey will play for Tallangatta and District league club Beechworth next season.
Joel Felmingham won Brock-Burrum’s reserve grade best and fairest.
In the netball, Lauren Kerrins took out her fourth A grade best and fairest with Rachel Koschitzke (B grade), Tahnee Flower (C grade) and Meghan Elliott (C reserve) successful in the other grades.
Finalists Jindera and CDHBU are also in the market for senior coaches.
Josh Walker and Damian Payne stepped down at the end of the season with Bulldog officials believed to be keen on a non-playing coach.
Henty is also on the look-out for a coach.
Meanwhile, Culcairn has landed an early signing with Prahran Assumption Football Club’s Jamie Robbins committing to the Lions.
He made the VAFA division one Team of the Year this season and has kicked 204 goals in the past five seasons for the club.
